2. Basic provisions
2.1. Definitions
- Customer: the person who places an order in the Webshop.
- Consumer: a natural person acting outside the scope of their profession, independent occupation or business activity (point 3 of Section 8:1(1) of Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code, hereinafter: the “Ptk.”).
- Product: any movable item offered for sale in the Webshop, in particular handmade soaps, soap powders, lip balms, shampoo and shaving soaps, bath salts, beeswax products, wax melts, laundry soaps, luffa sponges, lavender sachets, natural bags, accessories, farm-produced foods and gift sets.
- Contract: the contract of sale concluded by electronic means between the Service Provider and the Customer through the Webshop as a distance contract.
2.2. Scope of the Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed in the Webshop and to the contracts concluded on the basis thereof. The provisions of the Terms and Conditions relating to consumers – in particular the right to withdraw without giving any reason – apply exclusively to Customers who qualify as consumers. Purchases in the Webshop may be made by persons of full age with legal capacity; a person under the age of 18 may place an order with the consent of their legal representative.
2.3. Governing law
The contract is governed by Hungarian law, in particular:
- Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.);
- Act CVIII of 2001 on certain issues of electronic commerce services and information society services;
- Act CLV of 1997 on consumer protection (Fgytv.);
- Government Decree No. 45/2014 (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses;
- Government Decree No. 373/2021 (VI. 30.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses for the sale of goods and for the supply of digital content and digital services;
- Decree No. 19/2014 (IV. 29.) NGM of the Minister for National Economy on the procedural rules for handling warranty and guarantee claims relating to goods sold under contracts between consumers and businesses;
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation).
The Terms and Conditions do not restrict the protection to which consumers are entitled by law and which cannot be excluded by contract.
2.4. Language, form and accessibility of the contract
The language of the contract is Hungarian. The contract is concluded by electronic means and qualifies as a contract made in writing. The Service Provider records the order details electronically and retains them for the period specified in the Privacy Policy. The contract details remain accessible to the Customer afterwards in the e-mail confirming the order; upon request, the Service Provider will send a copy of the order details. The Service Provider has not submitted itself to any code of conduct.
The Terms and Conditions are continuously available in the Webshop and can be stored and retrieved at any time using the print or save function of the browser. The Service Provider may amend the Terms and Conditions; any amendment applies to orders placed after its publication and does not affect the terms of contracts already concluded.
3. Products and prices
3.1. Product categories sold in the Webshop
The Webshop offers several product categories, which may be subject to different statutory requirements and warranty rules:
- Natural cosmetics: handmade soaps, soap powders, lip balm, hair and shaving soaps, bath salts – cosmetic products falling under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products.
- Pet cosmetics and care products: pet washing soap and other pet care products – preparations covered by the rules on animal care products and listed in the register of the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH).
- Foods: jam, honey preparations, table salt and other small-scale producer foods – under the Hungarian Food Codex and the rules on small-scale food production, processing and sale.
- Environmentally friendly household items, candles and accessories: laundry and stain-removing soap, luffa products, beeswax sheets, beeswax candles and hanging decorations, scented waxes, natural bags and other accessories.
The essential characteristics, ingredients and warnings of each product – and, where the product is not manufactured by the Service Provider, the name and contact details of the manufacturer – are set out on the product page.
3.2. Product information
The essential characteristics of the products – such as the pack size, the ingredients (INCI) of cosmetic products, instructions for use and storage, and information relating to foods – are set out on the page of the relevant product and on the product packaging. Handcrafted products are made by hand in small batches; their colour, shape, pattern and scent may therefore differ slightly from those shown in the product photos, and the photos are for illustration purposes only. This does not affect the Customer's rights under the legal guarantee and product warranty.
Cosmetic products are not medicines and do not cure or treat any disease. If you have sensitive or allergy-prone skin, please check the ingredients before purchasing, and if you have a skin complaint, please consult a doctor.
3.3. Prices
The prices shown in the Webshop are the final prices in Hungarian forints (HUF) payable by the Customer. The Service Provider is exempt from value added tax under the small business exemption scheme (Chapter XIII of Act CXXVII of 2007 on Value Added Tax), and therefore the prices do not include value added tax, and the invoice issued does not contain VAT. The product price does not include the delivery fee or, in the case of payment by cash on delivery, any cash on delivery fee; their current amounts are set out on the Shipping & Payment page, and the exact amounts applicable to the order are displayed at checkout before the order is submitted. The price applicable to an order is the price shown in the Webshop at the time the order is submitted; any subsequent change in prices does not affect contracts already concluded.
3.4. Promotions and coupons
The conditions of promotions and discounts (for example, their duration and the range of products concerned) are set out in the description of the relevant promotion. If the Service Provider issues a coupon code, it will communicate the period of validity, the method of redemption and any further conditions of use when the coupon is published or handed over; one coupon code may be used per order.
3.5. Obviously incorrect price
If, due to a technical error or a typing error, an obviously incorrect price appears in the Webshop (for example, HUF 0, or a price that differs strikingly from the usual price of the product), the Service Provider is not obliged to sell the product at the incorrect price. In such a case, the Service Provider will contact the Customer and inform them of the correct price, and the Customer may then decide whether to maintain the order at the correct price. If the Customer does not maintain the order, the order is cancelled at no cost to the Customer, and the Service Provider will refund any amount already paid without delay.
4. The ordering process
Purchases can be made in the Webshop without registration. The technical steps of placing an order are as follows:
- The Customer places the selected product in the cart. The contents of the cart can be viewed at any time, the quantity can be changed and products can be removed.
- The Customer proceeds from the cart to checkout.
- The Customer enters their contact details (name, e-mail address, phone number).
- The Customer selects the shipping method, enters the delivery address or selects the pickup point and, if different from the delivery address, enters the billing details.
- The Customer selects the payment method.
- The Customer accepts the Terms and Conditions and declares that they have read the Privacy Policy.
- The Customer checks the order summary: the products, the quantities, the product prices, the delivery fee, any additional fees and the total amount payable.
- The Customer submits the order by clicking the button indicating the obligation to pay.
Correcting input errors. Until the order is submitted, the Customer may check and correct the data entered at any time: in the cart, they may change quantities or remove products, and at checkout they may edit the completed fields or choose a different shipping or payment method. Before the order is submitted, the summary shows the data entered and the total amount payable. If the Customer notices an error in the data they entered after submitting the order, they are requested to notify the Service Provider without delay by e-mail or by phone.
Submitting the order creates an obligation to pay for the Customer.
5. Conclusion of the contract
The Service Provider confirms receipt of the order without delay, and in any event within 48 hours, by e-mail sent to the e-mail address provided by the Customer. The confirmation e-mail contains the order details: the products ordered, their prices, the shipping and payment method, the delivery fee and the total amount payable. If the confirmation does not reach the Customer within 48 hours of the order being submitted, the Customer is released from being bound by their offer or from their contractual obligations. Please also check your spam folder, and make sure that you enter your e-mail address correctly.
The contract is concluded when the confirmation e-mail becomes accessible to the Customer.
The order may be modified until the parcel is dispatched, by arrangement with the Service Provider by e-mail or by phone. If, after the contract has been concluded, the ordered product cannot be delivered for unforeseeable reasons, the Service Provider will inform the Customer without delay and will refund any amount already paid without delay, and in any event within 14 days. This does not affect any other rights to which the Customer is entitled by law.
6. Payment
The current list and description of the available payment methods are set out on the Shipping & Payment page. The following payment methods are available in the Webshop:
- Bank transfer in advance. The details required for the bank transfer (the name of the beneficiary, the bank account number, the amount to be transferred and the order number to be given as the payment reference) are communicated by the Service Provider on the page displayed after the order is submitted and in the e-mail confirming the order. The Service Provider dispatches the product, or prepares it for personal pickup, after the full amount has been credited. If the purchase price is not received within the deadline specified in the confirmation, the Service Provider may rescind the contract by notifying the Customer by e-mail.
- Cash on delivery. The Customer pays the purchase price and the delivery fee to the courier or the delivery agent upon receipt of the parcel. Any cash on delivery fee is displayed at checkout before the order is submitted; this fee does not exceed the costs actually incurred by the Service Provider in connection with this payment method.
The Service Provider issues an invoice for the purchase, which it sends to the Customer in electronic form by e-mail.
7. Delivery and receipt
7.1. Shipping methods
The following shipping methods can be selected in the Webshop: GLS home delivery, GLS parcel locker, GLS ParcelShop, MPL home delivery (Magyar Posta), MPL parcel locker, post office or PostaPont pick-up (MPL parcel locker and post office or PostaPont pick-up only where offered at checkout), and free personal pickup in Kiskunfélegyháza, Kecskemét or Budapest by prior arrangement. The delivery fee depends on the size and weight of the products ordered. The current delivery fees, the cart value qualifying for free delivery and the personal pickup points are set out on the Shipping & Payment page; the delivery fee applicable to the order is displayed at checkout before the order is submitted. The Service Provider delivers exclusively to addresses in Hungary and to pickup points in Hungary.
7.2. Deadline for performance
The Service Provider dispatches the ordered products, or in the case of personal pickup prepares them for collection, as soon as possible after the conclusion of the contract or, in the case of bank transfer in advance, after the purchase price has been credited. Unless otherwise agreed, the Service Provider makes the product available to the Customer without undue delay after the conclusion of the contract, and in any event within 30 days. If performance is delayed, the Service Provider will inform the Customer by e-mail.
In the event of delay on the part of the Service Provider, the Customer may set an appropriate additional period for performance; if the Service Provider fails to perform within the additional period, the Customer may rescind the contract. The Customer may also rescind the contract without setting an additional period if the Service Provider has refused to perform, or if the time of performance was essential in view of the circumstances surrounding the conclusion of the contract, or if the Customer informed the Service Provider before the conclusion of the contract that the time of performance was essential. In the event of such rescission, the Service Provider will refund the full amount paid by the Customer – together with the costs incurred in connection with performance – without delay, and in any event within 14 days of becoming aware of the rescission.
7.3. Personal pickup
If personal pickup is selected, the Service Provider will agree with the Customer on the exact place and time of collection by e-mail or by phone after confirming the order. Personal pickup is free of charge.
7.4. Receipt of the parcel and risk of loss or damage
The risk of loss of or damage to the product passes to the Customer when the Customer, or a third party designated by the Customer, takes physical possession of the product. Please check the parcel upon receipt. If the packaging is damaged, ask the courier or the delivery agent to record the damage (draw up a report), document the damage with photographs and notify the Service Provider as soon as possible. Failure to do so does not affect the Customer's rights under the legal guarantee and product warranty.
If delivery fails because the Customer is absent or the parcel is not collected, and the parcel is returned to the Service Provider, the Service Provider will contact the Customer to agree on the next steps. The cost of redelivery is borne by the Customer, unless the delivery failed through the fault of the Service Provider or the carrier.
8. Right of withdrawal
Customers who qualify as consumers are entitled to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason under Government Decree No. 45/2014 (II. 26.). Detailed information and the model withdrawal form are set out in the Withdrawal Information, which forms part of the Terms and Conditions. The most important rules are as follows:
- The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day of receipt of the product or, in the case of several products delivered separately, of the product delivered last. The period starts on the day on which the Customer, or a third party other than the carrier and designated by the Customer, receives the product. The right of withdrawal may also be exercised in the period between the day of conclusion of the contract and the receipt of the product.
- The right of withdrawal may be exercised by means of an unequivocal statement to that effect, which the Customer may send by post or by e-mail to the address of the Service Provider indicated in section 1; the Customer may also use the model withdrawal form for this purpose. The right of withdrawal may also be exercised online, using the withdrawal function of the website. The withdrawal is made in time if the Customer sends their statement before the withdrawal period expires.
- You may also exercise your right of withdrawal online at the following address: superdoghome.hu/elallas-a-szerzodestol (using the “Withdraw from contract here” button at the bottom of every page of the website). If you use this online function, we will, without undue delay, send you an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium (for example, by e-mail), stating the content of the withdrawal as well as its date and time.
- The Customer must send back the product or hand it over to the Service Provider within 14 days of communicating the withdrawal. The Customer bears the direct cost of returning the product.
- The Service Provider will reimburse all payments made by the Customer, including the delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal statement; however, it will not reimburse any supplementary costs resulting from the Customer's choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by the Service Provider. The Service Provider may withhold the reimbursement until it has received the product back or until the Customer has supplied evidence of having sent it back.
- The Customer is liable for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.
- The Customer is not entitled to the right of withdrawal in particular in the case of sealed products (for example, cosmetics, personal care products or foods) which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery, if the packaging was unsealed after receipt; in the case of perishable products or products liable to deteriorate rapidly; and in the case of products made to the Customer's instructions or at the Customer's express request, or clearly personalised for the Customer.
9. Legal guarantee, product warranty and commercial guarantee
9.1. Legal guarantee (kellékszavatosság)
In what cases may the Customer exercise their rights under the legal guarantee? In the event of defective performance by the Service Provider, the Customer may assert a legal guarantee claim against the Service Provider in accordance with the rules of the Ptk.
What rights is the Customer entitled to? The Customer may, at their choice, request repair or replacement, unless fulfilling the chosen remedy is impossible or would impose disproportionate additional costs on the Service Provider compared with fulfilling the other remedy. Before bringing the product into conformity with the contract, the Service Provider informs the Customer that they may choose between repair and replacement, and that in the case of repair the limitation period of the legal guarantee claim is extended. The Customer may request a proportionate reduction of the price or – as a last resort – rescind the contract if they did not or could not request repair or replacement; if the Service Provider has not undertaken, has not carried out or has not properly carried out the repair or replacement, or has lawfully refused it; if a defect recurs despite the Service Provider's attempt to remedy it; if the defect is so serious as to justify an immediate price reduction or rescission; or if it is clear from the circumstances that the Service Provider will not bring the product into conformity within a reasonable period or without significant inconvenience to the Customer. Rescission is not permitted on the grounds of a minor defect; the burden of proving that the defect is minor lies with the Service Provider. The Customer may not repair the defect themselves, or have it repaired by another person, at the Service Provider's expense. The Customer may switch from the remedy chosen to another remedy; the cost of switching is borne by the Customer, unless the switch was justified or was caused by the Service Provider.
Within what time limit may the claim be asserted? The Customer must notify the defect without delay after discovering it, and in any event within two months of its discovery. A legal guarantee claim becomes time-barred two years after performance; after that period, rights under the legal guarantee can no longer be exercised. If the Service Provider brings the product into conformity by repairing it, the limitation period of the legal guarantee claim is extended once by twelve months.
Against whom may the claim be asserted? Against the Service Provider.
What is not covered? Warranty for defects covers defects already present at the time of performance. It does not cover deterioration resulting from improper use or from failure to observe the storage conditions indicated on the product or its packaging (for example keeping it protected from light, in a dry and cool place, or refrigerating it after opening), such as the rancidity of natural products that contain no preservatives.
What other conditions apply to asserting the claim? Within one year of performance, there is no condition for asserting a legal guarantee claim other than notifying the defect, provided that the Customer proves that the product was sold by the Service Provider (for example, by means of the invoice). In such a case, unless proven otherwise, it shall be presumed that the defect already existed at the time of performance, unless this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the product or of the defect. After one year from performance, the Customer must prove that the defect they identified already existed at the time of performance.
9.2. Product warranty (termékszavatosság)
In what cases may the Customer exercise their rights under the product warranty? In the event of a defect in the product, the Customer may, at their choice, exercise their rights under the legal guarantee in accordance with section 9.1 or assert a product warranty claim in accordance with the rules of the Ptk.
What rights is the Customer entitled to? Under a product warranty claim, the Customer may request the repair of the defective product or – if repair is not possible within an appropriate period without harm to the Customer's interests – its replacement.
When is the product defective? The product is defective if it does not meet the quality requirements in force at the time it was placed on the market, or if it does not have the characteristics set out in the description provided by the manufacturer.
Against whom may the claim be asserted? Against the producer or distributor of the product (hereinafter together: the “manufacturer”). In the case of products made by the Service Provider, the manufacturer is the Service Provider itself; in the case of products of other manufacturers, the Service Provider will provide information on the manufacturer's details upon request.
Within what time limit may the claim be asserted? A product warranty claim may be asserted within two years of the product being placed on the market by the manufacturer; after this period, the entitlement ceases. The defect must be notified to the manufacturer without delay after its discovery, and in any event within two months.
What rule of evidence applies? When asserting a product warranty claim, the Customer must prove that the defect in the product existed at the time the product was placed on the market by the manufacturer.
When is the manufacturer exempt from liability? The manufacturer is exempt from its product warranty obligation if it proves that it did not manufacture or place the product on the market in the course of its business activity; or that the defect could not have been detected in the state of scientific and technical knowledge at the time the product was placed on the market; or that the defect in the product results from the application of a legal provision or a mandatory requirement of an authority. It is sufficient for the manufacturer to prove one of these grounds in order to be exempt.
For the same defect, the Customer may assert a legal guarantee claim against the Service Provider and a product warranty claim against the manufacturer at the same time, in parallel. However, if the product warranty claim is successfully asserted, the Customer may thereafter assert their legal guarantee claim relating to the replaced product, or to the repaired part of the product, only against the manufacturer.
9.3. Commercial guarantee (jótállás)
The products offered in the Webshop do not fall within the category of durable consumer goods subject to a mandatory guarantee, and the Service Provider does not provide a voluntary guarantee for the products. This does not affect the Customer's rights under the legal guarantee and product warranty.
9.4. Handling of legal guarantee and product warranty claims
Legal guarantee and product warranty claims may be notified using the contact details of the Service Provider given in section 1. Please include in your notification the order number, a description of the defect and the time of its discovery, and, if possible, attach a photograph. The conclusion of the contract shall be deemed proven if the Customer presents the invoice issued for the purchase.
The Service Provider draws up a record of the notified claim and sends a copy of it to the Customer without delay in a verifiable manner (for example, by e-mail). If, at the time of notification, the Service Provider is unable to state whether the claim can be fulfilled, it will notify the Customer of its position in a verifiable manner within 8 days – and, if the claim is rejected, also of the reasons for the rejection and of the possibility of turning to a conciliation board (békéltető testület). The Service Provider endeavours to carry out the repair or replacement within no more than 15 days. The costs of fulfilling the obligations under the legal guarantee and product warranty – including the cost of returning the defective product – are borne by the Service Provider. The Service Provider retains the record for 3 years from the date on which it was drawn up.
10. Complaint handling and legal remedies
10.1. Complaint handling
The Customer may communicate complaints concerning the product or the activities of the Service Provider to the Service Provider orally (by phone) or in writing (by e-mail or by post) using the contact details given in section 1, or via the contact form on the website. The Service Provider confirms receipt of a written complaint submitted via the form or by e-mail without delay to the e-mail address provided by the Customer.
The Service Provider examines an oral complaint immediately and remedies it as necessary. If the Customer does not agree with the handling of the complaint, or if an immediate investigation of the complaint is not possible, the Service Provider draws up without delay a record of the complaint and of its position on it, and sends a copy of the record to the Customer no later than together with its substantive reply. The Service Provider assigns a unique identification number to oral complaints communicated by phone. If, when the record is drawn up, the Customer does not provide their name, residential address or e-mail address, or a detailed description of their complaint, the Service Provider may dispense with a written reply.
The Service Provider replies to a written complaint in writing and on the merits within 30 days of its receipt. The Service Provider gives reasons for any position rejecting the complaint, and informs the Customer in writing of the authority or conciliation board before which – depending on the nature of the complaint – the Customer may initiate proceedings. The Service Provider retains the record of an oral complaint, the written complaint and a copy of the reply to it for 3 years.
10.2. Consumer protection authority
If the Customer considers that their consumer rights have been infringed, they may initiate proceedings before the consumer protection authority. The government offices (kormányhivatal) act as the general consumer protection authority; in proceedings initiated at the request of a consumer, the competent authority – unless the consumer provides otherwise – is the government office competent for the consumer's place of residence or place of stay. Information on the contact details of the government offices is available on the website of the National Authority for Trade and Consumer Protection (Nemzeti Kereskedelmi és Fogyasztóvédelmi Hatóság): nkfh.gov.hu/hova-fordulhatok.
10.3. Conciliation board
In the event of a consumer dispute, the Customer may also initiate proceedings before a conciliation board (békéltető testület). In order to settle the consumer dispute out of court, the conciliation board attempts to bring about a settlement between the parties and, if this is unsuccessful, makes a decision in the case. A precondition for initiating the proceedings is that the Customer has first attempted to settle the dispute directly with the Service Provider.
As a general rule, the conciliation board competent for the consumer's place of residence or place of stay has jurisdiction over the proceedings; however, the consumer may also designate a different conciliation board in their application. For the territory of Bács-Kiskun County, where the Service Provider has its registered office, the following board is competent (together with Békés and Csongrád-Csanád counties):
- Csongrád-Csanád County Conciliation Board (Csongrád-Csanád Megyei Békéltető Testület; until 1 October 2026: Csongrád-Csanád Vármegyei Békéltető Testület)

The Service Provider is under an obligation to cooperate in conciliation board proceedings: at the request of the conciliation board, it submits a written statement on the consumer's claim (statement of reply) within 15 days, and ensures that a person authorised to reach a settlement attends the hearing.
10.4. Court proceedings
The Customer may also assert claims arising from the contract before a court in accordance with the rules of civil procedure.
11. Data processing
The Service Provider processes the Customer's personal data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual property
The content of the Webshop – in particular the texts, photographs, videos, graphic elements and logos – is protected by copyright and may not be used without the prior written permission of the rights holder, except for free use permitted by law. Supe®dogHome is a registered trade mark.
13. Final provisions
If any provision of the Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. Matters not regulated in the Terms and Conditions are governed by Hungarian law, in particular the provisions of the Ptk. and of consumer protection legislation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Service Provider via the Contact page.
