If you'd like to step away from the usual world of shampoo bottles, this handmade shampoo bar could be a special alternative.

It's made from high-purity plant fats and oils, without synthetic fragrances, colourings or preservatives. Castor oil and rosemary oil also play their part.

If you have longer hair, your usual conditioner can still make your hair care routine more pleasant. Tested on medium-length hair, one 80 g bar lasted for about 30 washes.

How to use

Work up a lather on wet hair, either directly on your hair or between your hands. Massage it into your scalp and hair, then rinse thoroughly. Every head of hair reacts differently to washing with soap, so over the first few washes, pay attention to how your hair and scalp feel.
